About Me
Hiya, I’m Shannon Halloran.
I grew up in Brant, New York and started my career as a scenic artist during high school helping out at D’Youville Kavinoky Theatre. I started attending SUNY at Fredonia in 2019 knowing I thrive in the arts, but undecided. Summer of 2020 I worked on a film called “Cabrini”, by Francesca Film Production NY. After falling in love with the job, I applied to the theatre program, SUNY at Fredonia. I changed my major and earned my BFA Theatrical Production Design degree with a scenic focus and graduated in Spring 2024.

With my time at Fredonia I learned many valuable skills around all technical areas of theater. Scenic artistry was my biggest strength going through, and I practiced technical skills like cartouche, painting drops, translucencies, practicals, and lots of scenic design. The skills I’ve practiced go on, but what I cherish most, I learned in Production. I’m especially passionate about working as a team on creative endeavors. Working as a charge artist educationally and professionally I’m confident in understanding and delivering a designer and producers vision. The theater program at Fredonia has helped me confidently utilize the collaborative creative process. From the first creative concept to strike, I know how to organize, estimate, and communicate my process. Alongside inspiring and instructing myself and my crew in execution of the scenic design.
Currently, I’m associated with United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829, IATE. I am currently based in Buffalo, NY and am enthralled with the “Artistic Renaissance” happening here. I currently spend my time working on local projects and am excited to expand and travel towards new opportunities.
